It is a practice project to redesign a website for a cultural space and social hub in The Hague.
The goal of this project was to improve the navigation and make the website more user-friendly and visually appealing, while maintaining the brand style and feel.
Platform analysis and audit to understand the key points and purpose of the website, alongside understanding what are some existing current problems.
Preparing wireframes and layouts. I tried to keep the idea of split screens and section scrolling, but make it more intuitive and easy to use.
Finalizing the hi-fi design. In this step I paid most of my attention to designing visual elements that fit the brand's identity and style.
Before
After
Transformed layout and navigation improves the ease of use and boosts the overall user experience.
Improved legibility by separating text into shorter sections and adjusting typograhpy.
UI got a visual facelift with improved typoghraphy and enhanced elements.
I got to broaden my view as a designer and explore uncoventional ways of layout and navigation.
This project allowed me to design in a 'brutalistic' style which isn't too common and often avoided.
